With over two decades of experience, Daniel Nikic has built a career dedicated to empowering investors and businesses with actionable insights.
Born and raised in Canada, Daniel Nikic is an investment research professional and entrepreneur focused on helping investors navigate complex markets, evaluate opportunities, and make more informed decisions. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Brock University, where his interest in investment research, market dynamics, and financial analysis first began to develop.
As the Founder and Managing Partner of Cohres, a boutique investment research and market intelligence firm, Daniel specializes in commercial due diligence, AI Concierge Systems for Investors, investment research workflows, and emerging technology markets. Since 2014, he has supported venture capital firms, private equity funds, hedge funds, family offices, asset managers, investment banks, and early-stage companies through structured research, market intelligence, and decision-support frameworks.
His career includes roles at HB Reavis, where he contributed to the delivery of large-scale real estate developments valued at more than €500 million; Azafran Capital Partners, where he supported investment strategy development and data-driven decision-making; and Zursh, where he worked on AI-focused initiatives. Daniel also co-founded FrontierCover, an investment research platform focused on the MENA region that provided market intelligence and investment insights across emerging markets.
Through his work, Daniel combines human judgment, structured research methodologies, and AI-enabled workflows to help investors filter signal from noise, identify risks, and better understand the businesses and markets they evaluate. His research increasingly focuses on workflow ownership, AI infrastructure, legal AI, commercial due diligence, and the evolving role of AI in investment decision-making.
